With the dawning of spring, New life takes hold

The Wheel of the Year turns once again as we welcome Ostara and the Spring Equinox on March 20th. In the Celtic Wheel of the Year this is considered mid-spring and in the Ayurvedic wisdom tradition we are entering the season of Kapha, made up of the elements of earth and water. We also celebrate the astrological New Year in the fiery sign of Aries on this day.

Next to autumn, this is my favourite time of year! I must admit I am bias being that my sun sign is in Aries … there is something soul stirring about changing my seasonal alter to display spring flowers, eggs, bunnies and other symbols of this time of year.

We enter a space of fertility, creation, abundance and joy! Just the other day I was delightfully greeted with four purple crocuses popping up in my front garden as if to say “Our hibernation is over, time to get blooming!”

And my beautiful souls, it is exactly that time for all of us!

March has brought us shakes ups and turn arounds with the eclipse season, Venus has gone into Aries ,the pioneering forward thinking spirit of the Ram will greet us on the New Moon in Aries on March 29th and Neptune will also enter Aries the day after for the first time in 165 years, staying there until 2039. Neptune is the planet of dreams, illusions, spirituality and creativity. That's a whole lot of Aries energy going on!

With the dawning of spring, new life takes hold in the most magical ways. It truly is the time to emerge from the sacred dark, to bloom towards brighter days and embrace all the beginnings, opportunities and possibilities that the Divine offers up to you on your journey.

So I invite you to ask yourself, where in your life do you want to bloom?

Perhaps it's in to honour your physical body and health in a deeper way. Maybe there is some emotional healing still being called to take place so you can let go of past hurts and welcome in more love, joy and wonder. Letting go of that job that has been sucking your soul dry or that connection that just isn't aligned anymore…whatever it is, once we clean up our inner and outer homes, we create an invitation for expansiveness and fertile soil to support the growth of something new and beautiful.

Ostara blessings to you!
